The Luke Commission is a faith-based organization (FBO) who partners with the United States government through the President's Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) in Swaziland to deliver HIV prevention, care and treatment services through a comprehensive, compassionate health care platform in rural Swaziland.
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) supports The Luke Commission in order to scale up coverage of core HIV prevention and care services for rural and vulnerable populations including HIV prevention education, risk assessment counseling, voluntary medical male circumcision (VMMC), HIV and CD4 count testing, TB screening, active linkages to care for those who are positive, and sexual reproductive health services.
The US Embassy in Swaziland, including two ambassadors, has witnessed the integrated, holistic health care model The Luke Commission provides rural communities throughout the country. These firsthand experiences highlight the successes and effectiveness of TLC’s comprehensive health care.
